All UPS Aircraft to be Equipped With Lithium Fire Guard Devices
Nearly 14 years after the crash of UPS Flight 6, IPA was pleased to jointly announce with UPS on April 25 that all UPS aircraft will be equipped with Lithium Fire Guard devices by the end of 2024. The move follows IPA’s relentless pursuit of enhanced safety measures for the carriage of lithium-ion batteries following the 2010 crash that claimed the lives of two IPA crew members.
